Good-quality 2-storey "kelo"-log cottage built in 1990. Downstairs: Bedroom with a double bed, kitchen, living room, dressing room, bathroom, electric sauna and toilet. Upstairs (sloping ceilings, steep stairs): Bedroom with a double bed, bedroom with a double bed and single bed, sleeping alcove (low room height, folding doors) with double mattress and balcony. Additionally 2 mattresses. Downstairs 135 m² and upstairs 40 m². Bedroom 1: double bed, bedroom 2: two beds, living room: convertible sofa for two, open fireplace, combined kitchen/living room, electric sauna. The sauna and washroom were renovated in late 2024 (the current photos were taken before the renovation). Cottage is located in Viipus camping area, where there are 3 cottages available year-round and additionally camping cottages during summer. Rainbow trout stocked in Törikänlampi pond nearby. Pond Törikänlampi is small, 15 m deep pond with bright water. Swimming possibility for persons who can swim. Lake Viipusjärvi deepens gently and there is also a pier. Beach is in joint use of camping site's customers. Rowing boat in shared use by the lake Viipusjärvi. Pets allowed for an additional fee, per booking period. The additional fee applies to bookings made from January 9, 2025. Lean-to shelter in shared use for 3 cottages. Spacious and cozy kelo log cabin in the peaceful Sivakkatie log cabin area. The area comprises just over ten cabins and is situated right on the outskirts of Ruka village. The single-story cottage has 3 bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, one with a double bed + bunk bed for three, and one with a double bed and the upper part of a bunk bed for one. The cabin offers comfort and space for up to 10 people. The location is ideal for sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, and families with children. The cabin offers stunning views of the Ruka slopes. You can access the ski trail, fitness track, cycling route, and snowmobile trail directly from the cabin's yard. The nearest ski lift is just over a kilometer away, and you can step into nature right from the cabin's backyard. Ruka village is a 1 km walk or a 2 km drive away. The nearest grocery store is located at 500 m, and the snowmobile rental is also conveniently close, just 300m away. Therefore, a variety of services are easily accessible. The cabin features a spacious living room/kitchen where you can prepare delicious meals and enjoy quality time together. It is equipped with ample tableware for 10 people. A large natural stone fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere to the living space. At the end of the day, you can relax in the log sauna. The sauna and the spacious bathroom with two showers were renovated in the summer of 2023. The sauna facilities also include a dressing room with a separate WC. Another WC is located in the entrance hall. You can easily step out from the sauna onto the covered, fairly large terrace. Warm storage for e.g. storing skis, there is also a ski waxing stand. Families with children are catered for with high chair, travel cot, a potty, sleds, a kick sled, as well as various board games and books available for guests to use.
