On one side, there is a comfortable living and sleeping area having convenient spreadable sofa bed that can be converted into two separate 80 cm wide beds. On the other side, you'll find the washroom with shower and a traditional wood-heated sauna. The sauna has a window offering stunning views of the lake and fells. Between these two spaces, there's an additional area that is not heated. Although this area is not heated, it provides a lovely spot to relax by the fireplace with breathtaking views of the lake and fells. Kätkä is a peacefully located holiday cabin with amenities by the lake. Lakeside sauna and good sand beach. The salmon fishing spots of Muonionjoki and the state owned hunting areas are easily accessible. 27 km to the north from Muonio municipality center, lake Kätkäjärvi 25 m (length 2,7 km, width 0,7 km), shallow beach with sand bottom, own rowing boat. River Muonionjoki is a tributary of Torne river, which is the longest salmon river in Europe. Good possibilities for salmon fishing, other fish species are sea trout and grayling.
