There are about 150 km of ski trails available in Pyhä-Luosto area. The Luosto ski resort is about 20 km away, where Lapland Hotels Luostotunturi also has the Amethyst Spa. The hiking trails of Pyhä-Luosto National Park are about 300 meters away, offering summer hikes to Finland's deepest gorge, Isokuru, with the breathtaking Pyhäkaste Waterfall. The hiking trails also provide the opportunity to summit the highest fell in Pyhä-Luosto, Noitatunturi (The Witch Fell), which is 540 meters high. Some of the hiking trails also acts as mountain biking routes, and Pyhä area has several companies that rent mountain and fat bikes for cycling. About 15 km towards Luosto is the Lampivaara Amethyst Mine. The mine is worth visiting, where visitors can dig for a lucky amethyst and take it home. Cozy, spacious and well-equipped cabin lying at the foot of the fell Yllästunturi in Ylläsjärvi Palovaara area. Nice holiday destination even for multiple families. Illuminated ski trail, hiking trail and cycling trail run 100 meters away. The distance to the Ylläsjärvi gondola-style ski lift is only 3 km. During the summer, the gondola also offers access to the fells to admire the scenery. The SkiBus stop is just a few hundred meters away offering easy access to the ski slopes. Railway station in Kolari municipality center 36 km, bus connection to the hotel Ylläsrinne located nearby. The spacious kitchen, dining area and big living room offer nice facilities to spend time together. There is a necessary kitchen equipment for making food, even for a larger group.
