Peaceful and cozy log house situated on the rapids of the River Iijoki! This spacious holiday home, constructed in 2010 from thermal logs, combines modern comfort with closeness to nature. The location by the River Iijoki allows easy access to the nearby services in the center of Taivalkoski and convenient entry to the Taivalvaara ski resort. The open and spacious living room features a comfortable sofa that can also serve as an additional bed for one. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for preparing delicious meals and enjoying gatherings around the dining table. The house comprises three charming bedrooms offering comfortable sleep. The main bedroom has a spacious double bed and a private WC, the second bedroom has a double bed (width 140 cm), and the third bedroom has two single beds. There's a practical walk-in closet attached to one of the bedrooms. The sauna section includes a spacious sauna, while the bathroom has two showers and a WC. Additionally, the house includes a utility room and another separate WC, making holiday chores easier. Outdoor living is effortless and enjoyable on the covered terrace, offering a magnificent view of the River Iijoki and the surrounding nature. Pets are very welcome in this holiday home! Especially for dogs, there's a dedicated dog house and two kennels, allowing our four-legged friends to fully enjoy the vacation. There are two TVs in the house, one in the living room and another in one of the bedrooms. Please note that the carport shown in the pictures is not available for use. Fishing in the Iijoki River is accessible, with fishing spots the closest by. The common catch in the area includes sizable graylings and trouts. The rapids in the central part of Iijoki are particularly suitable for, among other activities, fly fishing for grayling. For fishing permits, see destination 5573 (www.eraluvat.fi). Hiking, cycling, and winter skiing are available. Taivalvaara Ski Resort is 4 km away, offering two lifts, a ski trail network, and a ski jumping hill. The Whitewater Kayaking Center is 4.5 km away. Hunting: Several excellent state-owned hunting areas in the municipalities of Taivalkoski and Pudasjärvi are easily accessible from here. There is a cooking hut in the yard, where you can enjoy Ruka's beautiful forest landscape in the warmth of a campfire. For active people, the hiking trails run close to the cabin. 28 km to the north from Kuusamo. Itä-Ruka/Vuosseli 4.1 km, where are also the nearest lifts, restaurants and rental offices. Stylish and spacious cabin completed in 2023 in the Koukkuniemi area of East-Ruka. Outside the cabin, you can spend time around the campfire in the cooking hut. On the ground floor there is fireroom with sofa bed for 1-2 persons and bedroom for three persons with bunkbed (lower bed can be enlarged for two). Sauna (electric heating), washroom, toilet. Upstairs there is kitchen, living room, one bedroom with twin bed and shower/toilet. Loft with separate beds for three. Balcony. Wifi. Downstairs has warm service room for fixing skis. The apartment comfortably accommodates the whole family, as the downstairs bedroom has double bed and four more single beds in the loft (the two of them are joined together but can be separated if necessary). The spacious kitchen is great for making food for the whole group. In addition to the beds, there is also a remote workstation in the high loft, so the combined work and holiday trip is just behind the doorstep. The location of the apartment is optimal for Levi holidaymakers both in winter and during the snow-free season. The ski bus runs on Rakkavaarantie and takes you quickly to the services of the center of Levi and e.g. ski slopes. Levi's illuminated trails run a couple of hundred meters from the apartment. Levi Golf is only a couple of kilometers away and Levi's extensive network of outdoor trails is a short walk away. The apartment offers a good setting for a varied holiday in Levi! Downstairs there is also a separate toilet as well as a washroom and sauna. The loft has beds for four and a work station. Plank-built holiday apartment, built in 1988, kitchen fixtures and beds renovated in 2007. Bedroom 1: 2 beds and bunk bed, bedroom 2: 2 beds, combined kitchen/living room, electric sauna. Situated on Valkeisrinne area. Other cottages in the area. Nearest ski lift is Pessari, which can be reached by skiing down the steep slope and over the ice of Yli-Pessari -pond. Other distances: Oulanka National Park / Pieni Karhunkierros Trail 20km, Riisitunturi Fell 26km. Additional information: Distance to Ruka village (Western Ruka) 1.6 km by walk along the hiking route during summer. Pier is in a joint use of other cottages.
