Cozy 50 m² log cabin by the lake Vesijärvi in Asikkala offers good holiday facilities for families of 4+2 persons with children. Build in 1994. You can also bring a small pet. There is no traffic passing by near the cabin, because it is located at the end of the road. 10 km to the south from Vääksy, lake Vesijärvi 30 m, shallow hard clay bottom with thin sand layer, pier, rowing boat, log-built cabin (1994), living room, living room/kitchen, bedroom with double bed on the ground floor, bedroom with two beds in the loft, sofa bed (140 x 190 bed) in the hall of loft. Near the beach you can barbecue with a kettle grilll while enjoying the evening sun. You have your own rowing boat available and the possibility to rent an outboard motor (check the reservation situation in advance). The cabin is located on a gentle slope, stairs down to the shore. The distance to the beach is about 30 meters. The cabin is equipped with amenities, so even a longer stay will go well. Wood-heated sauna offers soft steams. Shower and WC are in the same room in connection with the sauna. The kitchen is equipped with tableware for six people and all necessary cooking utensils. Dining table can be extended for six people. Heat reserving fireplace in the cabin gives nice extra heat, air source heat pump is also available. There is also a travel cot, high chair for a baby and potty for the youngest members of the family. This cabin is quite old and therefore some worn and torn can be seen on the surfaces as well as some marks of calcium-rich water. Wild berries and mushrooms can be freely gathered in the forest and the Rantala area is rich in this natural produce. There is a village society tepee on the farm's land where guests are free to go to roast sausages or brew coffee over an open fire. In winter there are 2-8 km long maintained ski trails nearby. At Purnu you can experience the exhilarating speed of downhill skiing. It is also easy to reach the national snowmobile trail network from the cottage. At Pajaranta there used to be the Rantala Farm work shop, where iron runners for the farm's sleigh and shoes for the horses were made. “Paja” means workshop or forge, hence the name Pajaranta (“Workshop/forge shore”). The sun shines on the terrace at Pajaranta almost the whole day. There is a garden swing in the yard and a table and chairs on the terrace. A rowing boat is provided which you can use to fish for fat perch close to the small island, then bring your catch to the barbecue grill on the shore. Right next to the cottage there is excellent berry and mushroom picking terrain, which is also ideal for rambling in general.
