A tastefully decorated, high-quality holiday home on the shores of Lake Littoistenjärvi, 9 km from Turku. Built in 2012, the property is well-suited for year-round use, making it an excellent remote work destination. The holiday home accommodates four people. The combined dining and living area features a 160 cm wide double bed, and the kitchen area has two separate 80 cm wide beds. Wood-heated sauna and a shower-equipped bathroom. The beach is shallow and gently deepening, with a soft sandy and muddy bottom. Swimming is from the pier. There is a small, quiet village beach with a sandy shore 800 meters away. In the "summer nest" in the yard, you can enjoy a sweet nap while listening to the lapping of the waves. The neighboring Villa Järvelä offers the highly popular winter swimming, which you can enjoy in a cold water pool even in the middle of summer. Villa Järvelä is about 150 meters away. Drinking water comes from a private well that has been tested as potable. Occasionally, the water may have a slight taste, so we recommend bringing drinking water with you. It can also be purchased from a nearby market. The Järvelä wetland area is one of the best bird-watching spots in Southwest Finland and is only 1 km away. There are also nature trails and a bird-watching tower nearby. Lake Liitoinen is shallow and may have blue-green alga for about 2 weeks in midsummer. The farm is located within walking distance of the cottage, making it easy for guests to get acquainted with the everyday life of the farm. Rantala Farm cultivates cereals and caraway seeds, some of the fields being scenic rather than productive. Forestry being important to the farmer, there are plenty of opportunities for guests to roam the forests or make use of the local logging roads or trails for walks and backpacking. Wild berries and mushrooms can be freely gathered in the forest and the Rantala area is rich in this natural produce. There is a village society tepee on the farm's land where guests are free to go to roast sausages or brew coffee over an open fire. In winter there are 2-8 km long maintained ski trails nearby. At Purnu you can experience the exhilarating speed of downhill skiing. It is also easy to reach the national snowmobile trail network from the cottage. The sun shines on Kuikanranta yard almost all day round. Using the rowing boat, guests can fish for perch near the small island, then roast the catch on the grill on the shore.
