Log cottage situated on clear water Lake Porontima. 38 km north of Kuusamo, Ruka 15 km, Lake Pikku-Porontima 30 m, gently sloping partly sanded mud bottom, a pier. Log cottage, built in 1998, bedroom 1: double bed, loft (30 m², sloping ceilings, highest point more than 170 cm): double bed, 3 beds and baby crib. Combined kitchen and living room, electric sauna, toilet. Additional equipment: Rowing boat and life jackets. Campfire site and outdoor shelter at the yard. The cottage has an air source heat pump. Baby crib is located on the loft. Guest can bring it also downstairs, but please return it to the original place before leaving. The owner makes a cross country skiing track, which leads to the official skiing track (distance 4 km, Valtavaara skiing track). Also possible to ski to Juuma village and to the Porontimajoki wilderness hut when Karhunkierros Wilderness Trail is opened. Snowshoes and licenses for fishing nets available from the owner (only permit mark for fishing net usage in lake Pikku-Porontimajärvi, no fishing nets or other fishing permits available, client needs to purchase also a fishing management fee). Cozy apartment in a semi-detached house at the base of fell Yllästunturi in Tunturipalo district. House is built in 2008. Services of Ylläsjärvi villa are within 3 km distance. It is a very short distance to two sections of the ski trail network, and the ski resort is only 1.5 km away. Outside of the winter season, the resort can be reached via forest trails in 15 minutes. Living room/kitchen, 1 small bedroom (double bed), plus 2 extra beds in the loft (10m²). Sauna (electrically heated), shower, toilet. Other equipment: coffee maker, kettle, toaster, flat screen TV. The cabin is well suited for holidays, but if you want to go to Lapland for remote work, it suits well thanks to the fast Internet connection and working desk equipped with a screen. A child's travel bed and high chair are standard equipment in this cabin. The location is excellent for winter sports, ski trails and snowmobile trails are close by. Pets are also welcome and dogs have their own food bowls and loan equipment for cycling and sled pulling. We charge an additional fee for families with pets. Including the final cleaning in the price ensures that the cabin is well cleaned by the maintainer for every guest.
